I am very excited to welcome Derek Tulluck on the show. He is an Elementary School Counselor, Professor, Author of Brick-Based Counseling and maintains the school counselor resource Brick Counselor (www.brickcounselor.com). Derek is a school counselor in the Seattle area, Enumclaw School District, and adjunct professor at City University of Seattle in the Professional School Counseling graduate degree program. He is a National Board Certified Teacher and completed his M.Ed. in Guidance and Counseling from City University of Seattle, and a BA in Linguistics from Western Washington University. Derek is passionate about incorporating play-based learning strategies and loves using brick materials in his work as a school counselor. Outside of school counseling, Derek is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, enjoys traveling, and learning Japanese. Derek lives in Enumclaw, WA with his wife Aya and their 2 children, Walter and Eliana.
