FEATURED GUESTS: Katie Lear, LCMHC, RPT, RDT, is a counselor, play therapist, and drama therapist who loves helping tween-aged kids find creative ways to cope with anxiety. Katie holds a BFA in Drama from NYU's Tisch School of the arts as well as a Masters in Counseling from Brooklyn College. She is passionate about combining the creative arts with evidence-based skills to provide kids with therapy that's both effective and fun. A private practitioner for the past 5 years, Katie works with children and families in her office in Charlotte, North Carolina, as well as online throughout the states of North Carolina, New York, and Florida. When she's not counseling, you can find her running online Dungeons & Dragons social groups for children through her sister business, Young Dragonslayers. Her first book, A Parent's Guide to Managing Childhood Grief, was just published by Simon & Schuster and Adams Media.
