Episode 36| Heather Anderson | Creating Your Unique Company Culture

November 25, 2020
The Creative Psychotherapist Podcast

In this Episode, my Creative Assistant, Heather Anderson and I have a candid conversation on the topic of Strategic Planning. We talk about how to infuse creativity into the process, how to make it your own, and how a leader's personal values and beliefs impact company culture.

Heather Anderson is the owner of
Heatheryish.com. The name of her business is an expression of her creative style. Heatheryish is and adjective to express compassion, connection, growth, and joy through creativity with efficiency, purpose, and integrity. She is an artist, an educator, a Reiki Level II practitioner, and a creative assistant providing project based services to advance your company's mission. She has been providing assistant services to my private practice, Florida Art Therapy Services, LLC for the past two years. In addition, she offers Reiki and Creative Wellness sessions through the practice.

There comes a time in every business owner's life, where they admit they need help! They can't do all the things anymore. Heather has become an integral part of how I keep all the balls in the air for my businesses. As such, she participates in the strategic planning of my business. Our conversation gives a window into what goes into the strategy of business growth and development. I hope you may find some insights into how you, too, can use your creativity as an asset in your approach to business planning.

I love having guests on the show, but sometimes things don't line up correctly. Interviews get cancelled or rescheduled. Recordings have technical errors or in some cases they don't convert properly and get lost in the ether. This was definitely one of those weeks.

A Mastermind group consists of a group of likeminded professionals who meet to discuss business. They essentially mentor and support one another's professional growth. Typically, they are paid groups. While some people may be skeptical about the benefits of paying to be part of a group - I assure you there are many benefits. I have participated in both a paid and unpaid group. Without a doubt, I have gained significantly more from being in the paid group. I attribute this to the fact that people more consistently show up and prioritize participation as they are financially invested in the process. In this episode I share about my experiences with both paid and unpaid groups and highlight the top 3 benefits of participating in a paid group.
